Short term & Long term Goals

Seeing as I'd rather not make a list of things I'd like to do before I die (that's somewhat depressing), here are a list of long term and short term goals that I'd love to complete, in no particular order. As I complete them I will most likely link the blog entry where I excitedly announce it, or post a completion date.


Internet

Like Honey

  1. Validate this site in xhtml 1.0 transitional and CSS. xhtml completed 06/06/07, css completed 06/09/07
  2. Create a layout only using CSS. completed 05/27/07
  3. Create four extra smiley sets,and one extra webicons set.
  4. Rewrite this list. completed 06/06/07
  5. Create a Poetry section. completed 06/05/07
  6. Post an entry everyday for a month.
  7. Make two quality link exchanges.
  8. Create a site map. completed 06/09/07

Livejournal

  1. Do a serious friends cut.
  2. Post everyday for a month.
  3. Do three friday fives.

Flickr

  1. Post a new picture everyday for a week.
  2. Rename all pictures to descriptive titles.
  3. Upgrade to a pro account.

Scholastic

College

  1. Finish enrollment, and retake semester.
  2. Complete semester with at least a 3.0 average.
  3. Meet and become friends with two chill people.
  4. register for classes early.

High School

  1. Return to highschool with two friends.
  2. Perform in one concert or at one football game.
  3. Get sister in band.

Health

Body

  1. Stop drinking soda for 8 weeks.
  2. Drink three cups/bottles of water a day. completed, in progress
  3. Follow Turbo Jam regimen.
  4. Hike through the park once a day. completed 6/23/07, in progress
  5. Take the stairs to grandmother's house for one week.

Mind

  1. Visit sister's grave once a month for four months.
  2. Meditate every morning for 30 minutes.
  3. Watch The Secret once a month with Rocky.

Social Foolery

Clique

  1. Obtain fireworks for operation: 4th of July and execute successfully.
  2. Have a 4th of July picnic.
  3. Go to three get-togethers. completed (3/3) 6/23/07
  4. Win one game of beer pong.
  5. See three movies in the theatre.
  6. Write and successfully mail three letters.
  7. Return every missed call for a week.

Media & Art

Movies

  1. Watch "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
  2. Watch 3 Disney movies.
  3. Watch three movies that I've never heard of before.
  4. Watch "The Hot Chick", "White Chicks" and "Chicken Little" in succession.
  5. Watch Family Guy the Movie.

Literature

  1. Take out three books from the library and complete them in a month.
  2. Read three books recommended by friends.
  3. Buy two new books from book club.

Art

  1. Crochet a blanket.
  2. Write two new pieces of poetry a month.
  3. Write an opinion piece.
  4. Vector an inanimate object.

General

Visit/See

  1. Madam Tussad's Wax Museum.
  2. Museum of Natural History.
  3. The Observatory.
  4. The Empire State Building.
  5. The Lion King, on broadway.
  6. Tarzan, on Broadway.
  7. Friends in New Jersey for a week.

Do

  1. Get a dog, and name him/her Bangles.
  2. Go on a road trip.
  3. Cook a dinner.
  4. Keep a plant alive for at least three months.
  5. Go on a rollercoaster.
  6. Get some of my photography developed.
  7. Get a learner's permit, and then a license.
  8. Own a paintball gun.
  9. Wear high heels for a day.
  10. Get a dayplanner.
